MEI is a subsidiary of CENCOR (Central de Corretajes), a Mexican holding with more than 25 years of experience managing companies dedicated to the development of infrastructure for the financial markets in Mexico, the USA and Latin America. The group consists of: Enlace (Interbank Brokerage), PiP (Financial Price Provider), MEI (Institutional Brokerage), and BIVA (Stock Exchange).

History

2005

MEI starts as a result of the significant growth of Institutional Investors in the financial market (Fund Operators, Insurance companies and Pension Funds). After more than two years of analysis and system development, MEIOperaciones began operations.

2007

Continuing its growth, it partners with Accival (Citigroup Company) to carry out government bond lending; it also holds the first financial auction of corporate bonds through the technological platform MEISubastas.

2014

It acquires the securities lending platform from Accival, now called MEIPresval.

2015

Seeking innovation and market diversification, MEIFondos is created, a platform that uses state-of-the-art technology to facilitate the realization and recording of transactions between operators and fund distributors.
